A planned town with a pattern
St. Charles was built as a planned community. Whole streets went up in the same years with the same plans. That means the attics repeat too. We have seen the same floor plans dozens of times.
The split-levels and colonials from the 70s through the 90s share the same weak spots. Thin batts over the top floor. Leaky attic hatches in hallway closets. Knee walls in the finished upstairs rooms.
The split-level problem
Split-levels are common here. The upper level bakes in summer. Heat rises from the lower levels straight into those rooms, and the attic above is thin. Air sealing the attic floor plus a top-up evens the whole house out.
Easy scheduling, tidy work
Planned streets mean easy access and easy parking for our trucks. We keep the work tidy and the noise to the work hours. Your neighbors will barely know we were there.
